Perth Signalling School

Network Rail run a school for signallers at Perth. Two videos have been made in the class room to illustrate how Network Rail goes about the training of new signallers. All signallers must first learn absolute block working as this is the fundamental grounding for all other signalling systems.

In part 2 the trainer explains the working of an entrance-exit (NX) panel and the operation of a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) controlled crossing. The video then moves on to the mysteries of 'approach control'.

These videos are intended for viewing at a maximum screen resolution of 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high. Please be aware that viewing at a larger size may result in a loss of clarity and a 'grainy' appearance.
