Prince of Wales

This video documents Prince of Wales Signal Box in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. It controlled the area surrounding Pontefract West Junction, where the routes from Castleford, Wakefield and Knottingley converge. Richard Pulleyn briefly describes the box’s history, and the operation of its Individual Function Switch (IFS) Panel.
The signal box closed in September 2024.
