York to Scarborough
The York to Scarborough line is particularly noted for the quantity of level crossings along the route, all of which are now supervised from just a few remaining signal boxes. The video is split into three parts:
Part 1 was filmed at Strensall with a brief visit to Common Road Gate Box.
Part 2 concentrates on the middle section visiting Barton Hill, Howsham and Kirkham Abbey.
Part 3 looks at the eastern end and looking at Malton, High Scampston Crossing, Weaverthorpe, Seamer and Lebberston on the line to Hull.
This video is intended for viewing at a maximum screen resolution of 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high. Please be aware that viewing at a larger size may result in a loss of clarity and a 'grainy' appearance.
